It's that time of year when people knock on your window concerned that the water dripping from your aircon is a serious fuel /oil leak

So why don't we have a competition to see who gets told the most times

I had my first one of the month today

No prizes but shall we see if anyone can beat 10 times apart from skippy of course who's bound to get 10 in a day !!!

Some of the drivers round here have been told by the vehicle owners that they are not allowed to use the aircon because it uses more fuel. They are told to have the windows down instead.

I have a part time driver that is the same he will not use the aircon at all but thats his choice as he pays for the fuel personally I prefer to pay the slightly increased fuel cost on sticky days than end up soaked in sweat although a lot of customers insist on both the aircon on and the windows openj

When driving at speeds of more than 55 miles per hour (88.5 kilometers per hour) with the windows down, there's a decrease in fuel efficiency of 20 percent or more. Although using the air conditioner decreases fuel efficiency as well, cooling the air through the compressor only decreases the fuel efficiency by about 10 percent
So you are using more fuel with the windows down?

Couldn't you just hit them over the head when they get in and open the windows saying, "It's hot in here".

I couldn't care less how much my aircon costs.

It's on, and it's staying on.

Aircon is on permanently, summer and winter. I like the comfort and I like my passengers to be comfortable. I do however warn them of the 'brick wall' they'll be walking into as soon as they get out of the car!!! 8)

If someone starts opening a window, I ask them to close it because I have the aircon on. If they don't, I turn the aircon off. Only had to do it once.
