Grrrrrrrrr, rant time, driving back from visiting elderly mother in London yesterday, along the Old Kent Road towards New Cross, evening peak traffic, using my London driving skills taught by Chiswick trained bus drivers, I kept being cut up by a shiny black van, "12" reg, driving aggressively is the polite way to put it.

Cutting in and out, braking hard, lane changing where it wasn't safe. Only when it got past me did I see the highly acclaimed name Adison Lee on it. Grrrrrr.

By the time we got past New Cross one-way system, he was only 3 car in front of me, having probably worn out his clutch and brakes as well as his temper by then! Was it really worth all that aggravation to be such a short distance in front?

DLAC? Unofficial VOSA term for driving like a count. (spellcheck)...

All the cars that Addison Lee have for sale on their site are automatics so they don't have a clutch to worry about.

That's cause he's an Addy Lee slave.

The slaves have to work over 12 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week to make it pay.

That's why I drive a taxi.

So Do I but I still have to work those sort of hours to make a living ! you forget that london is the only part of the UK where there isn't serious price competition

You're joking right?

Battersea to Heathrow in an Astra with a sat nav for £35!

Edmonton in North London in a Nissan note with a sat nav for £40!

And I don't have any price competition?

These prices are less than halve what I'd charge.

I do well because I'm quality, whilst the above still struggle, even with those prices, because their drivers and cars are shi.t and are clueless as to where they are going.

I think you will find autos have several clutches inside them....

Automatic transmission actually have more then one clutch between every gear.
