I Looked Into Doing The Milton Keynes Hackney Carriage Test A While Ago As I Wanted To See How Work Is There As Alot Of People Say Its Got Too Many Taxis And Not Enough Rank Space To Acomadate Them And Drivers Having To Wait Hours At The Train Station The Main Milton Keynes Rrank.
Im Happy To Say I Have Passed And Have Recieved My Badge,
Now Im Going To See If I Can Drive A Taxi Up There For A FeW Weeks To See How The Work Is There, So My Question Now To Anyone Who Works In Milton Keynes Or Has Any Info On The Trade There On What I Am To Expect There?

It's full up. I thought you were OK paying £50K for your cab working in your own town?

I Am Verry Happy Working In My Own Town Even Though Its Not Really Busy Like A Big Town Or City Should Be I Still Make Enough Money To Feed, Cloth And Shelter Me And My Family In A Good Way With No Sighn Of Me Having To Work Vast Long Hours, As I Spend Alot Of Time With My Family Rather Than Being At Work.
But The Reason I Wanted To Check It Out Was I Have Few Family And Friends Who Work There And Claim My Earnings Are Greater Than Theres Even Though I Put Half The Hours They Do But Still After Fuel And Expences They Claim They Dont Make As Much As Me.
So Was Just Wondering If There Was Anyone On Here Who Can Give Me A Little Bit Of Inside Rather Than Being Someone I Know, As Its Really Surprising That How Big Mk Is Theres Tooo Many Taxis And Not Enough Trade.

well there seems to be plenty of punters about

Milton keynes station is faar worse
A few friends of mine lost there jobs in a factory/Warehouse few months ago and they couldnt find another job so they said lets jump in the taxi trade, I told them its finished nothing left in it and even explained how much drivers are making also they see the train station loaded with cabs everyday but they didnt listen they each bought a cab and plated it 1 of them bought a 2013 TX4 cab and now doing 12+ Hours for £40-50.
Thats what the problem is when people loose a job theyll come into the taxi trade no matter how dead it is and it just ruins it for Cabbies like me who been in the trade for all my life and know the trade inside out not like these guys just getting a free Plate and comming in and when finding something else just leaving.
