The favours we do for you.

But seriously, the recommended price that was agreed between HALT, BAA and the LTDA is £170 (57 miles).

Albeit recommended and not enforceable.

Probably an ex - minicab driver?

by all accounts he was a lad from Northumberland that works like a **** for ten days at a time.
and then goes home for a week.
him and his mate share a flat.
he even told the punter that they have a blow up bed for when they are waiting in the feeder park.
but the £210 price was from 'the book' he said.
bit like down here with the dodgy black book. [-X

It was more than likely on the day of one of the bombings. [-(

Gosh if it was and he had gone in a Taxhee instead of a Taxi, that would have cost him the best part of a new minicab. :?

Their drivers will be a commited bunch then?

I wonder how long that price will last ? At the rate Derv is going up, that should just about cover their costs plus Lunch.

But how long will they last charging that price.

These fly by night P H firms seem to rip off everyone they can on the short runs and come out with absolute stupid prices on the longer runs.

I was speaking to a P H driver the other day and commented on his new meter which he had purchased he said, "ya its great charging tariff 4 when I tout out of the town, looks much better when I ask for the fare." :x

Too long, but even when they go punters will think you are fleecing them when you charge the proper fair price. :?
