have not got the full detail off where he parked in the station ![]() Can't believe they could do that so quick. I find the best place to wait (for free), is MacDonald's car park.

When I pick up at Gatwick I find the best proceedure is to go to the car park and park your car there.

give the customers your mobile when you drop them off. then wait in macdonalds for them to ring. go and pick them up and it doesnt cost anything. other than 4 big macs and a bucket of fries.

I thought there was a thread on this, did'nt think it was from so long ago. I was in this filling station last night courtesy of the Hilton Metropole, ( )I see they have these cameras that time you in and time you out.
Despite that there seemed to be plenty of cabs parked up waiting. |

Time does fly. I think more and more drivers are taking their 40 minutes worth in MacDonald's car park. Rather than pay a fiver in the airport car park. And if you have to wait a tad longer, then there is a Tesco not that far away where you can wait for weeks. Thank god for mobile phones. |

The problem is it's not MacDonalds that give you the ticket, and their staff/managers have no local control over the situation. Usually it's a security firm with a PO Box address that try and scam with threats and penalties. But the biggest crooks in all of this is the DVLA who sell our details to the scammers.
