 Post subject: very very irritating

A local council stipulating what types of CCTv you should have (if your going to fit it) in a licensed vehicle.

THEN........telling you that you must have the camera equipment sealed by them, which will cost you £5 to reseal should you need the info from the camera and have to break the seal to get to the SD card......


THEN trumping all of the above by insisting you register yourself as a data controller

naturally - they want cab drivers to have total control over all aspects of data - save for the fact they cant access it !

ultra vires IMO, but I reckon the Info commissioner wont have a Scooby what to do

You shouldn't need that if the fitter was data controller, or someone uses a radio circuits registration.

What happens if you have an incident late at night, clearly you will retrieve the card, but you wont have a sealed card to put back in?

The local CCTV control will have to do it.
