First minicab firm I worked for was £150/week a rent, which included a PDA with Mercury - open shift as well. Maintained and insured car was £200/week extra. |

Down here PH drivers pay about £120 a week radio rent, £150-£200 vehicle rent (for pieces of sh**), and about £50 a week insurance. It has been known for some of them to sleep in their cars.

So add that to the £150 weekly rent it would have been a total of £350/week Got my own operators licence and I now find my own work, thanks. Instead of paying a company £150/week in rent, and solely working for them, I now pay the equivalent of £5.72/week to TfL (i.e. £1488 for a five-year small operator licence). |
