Thank you council has now got it into there heads that a limit was needed.
Last week Milton keynes council limited the plates at 318 Hackney Carriages.
After 12years of fighting deregulations we have finally got what we want.
Now the council wont issue any new plates.
But its too worse now we still have to wait at the station sometimes 2-3Hours between jobs, if the limit was placed 5years back when it was needed would of been better.

How many PHVs in MK?

The number will quadruple inside a year.

Following on from the point made above isn't one of the problems in MK the huge amount of out-of-town cars doing radio work there?

How will restricting numbers affect that?

And how will restricting numbers affect trade if all those existing cabs a) stay licensed, or b) take on journeymen?

And why are people licensing taxis in MK if they can't earn a bean? Is there a thick gene in the local water?

Having been to MK several times, I'd say yes to the last question.
