Against my better judgement I took on a run to Heathrow today. 3 and half hours to do the 99 miles from darkest Kent to T3!! Anyway, as we were getting near the airport, the couple I picked up, an elderly gent, ex RAF navigator and his wife, very deaf, started signing away to him every five minutes or so. "What's she saying" I asked. "Are we nearly there yet" came the reply.

He couldn't cock-up....he used to navigate Vulcan bombers.... |
