Hi Do I need to have a station pass or permit to work on the station? a driver down here who recently picked up 5 jobs or 6 maybe does not have a station pass? is he breaking any bye-laws by doing this or is he working without insurance as he would appear to be hiring illegally? whilst I admit that the situation is less than clearly marked out and works currently underway to the ticketing office don't help, whether you have a pass or not is quite clear, isn't it? No confusion there then |

I would guess that if a station requires a taxi to have a permit to pick up from a private station "rank" then it would be up to the permit issuer to take action. If the person picking up passengers is driving a hack that is licensed by the same borough as the station is in then what he is doing isn't "illegal" in that I doubt that the police can prosecute. |

Truth I believe from the horses mouth, why else would someone who previously always had a station pass/ permit not be allowed on the station now? 4 years without paying apparently? |

Think I'll pass! |
