Seeing as the law commotions came to there conclusion
Is it now possible for private hire vehicles to work anywhere around the country and operators allowed to have vehicles Licenced from other areas to work for them?

Why would I want to work 200 miles away?

The law hasn't changed yet.

But if it changed would this be allowed or not?

Private hire can already work anywhere providing the booking was taken by a licensed operator from the same district as the vehicle and driver. It is my understanding that a private hire operator will be able to sub contract to another private hire operator in another district. A driver from one area will not be able to work directly for an operator in another area.

Always been the case.

Not at present, maybe in 5 to 10 years via the LC, and 2-3 years via the Dereg Bill.

Has the dereg. bill changed then? I thought it was subcontracting to another operator not using cars and drivers from another area without going through an operator.

The Dereg Bill hasn't changed, but if the driver has his own ops license that will meet the criteria as I read it.

Then the work is being passed to an operator.... who happens to be a driver.

Many councils would be happy if the fixed premises was your home and with the likes of Cabfind it's already going on anyway

I think the big advantage would be back loading from major airports instead of vehicles running empty one way, say ive dropped at Manchester at full price and another operator anywhere could use me to carry their passengers if the vehicle/job was suitable and a price agreed....
