I E-MAILED YOUR MATE DAMIEN. (Tanks for the reply . In the letter you were asked that there should be clear consumer . benift from your policy of restricting Hackney numbers . As you are probably aware Liverpool although being a very poor and deprived city has some of the most expensive, Hackney fares in the noth west . In Taxi monthly , Liverpool is 21 places above Knowsley in the league table of most expensive hackney fares . 50 places above sefton 196 places above Wirral . Even Manchester has cheaper fares . As well as this Liverpool has some the poorest payed Taxi drivers ,in the country many of them on tax credit . How wheel chair passengers can afford to use ,Taxis in liverpool i dont know . Idont think they do. Is it not true, the only people who benifit from limiting Hackney numbers are Fleet owners . Dont you think in the run up 2008. this City get rid of h j k l m n Hackneys . james smith. CLEAR CONSUMER BENEFIT. TELL ME WHARE IT IS. He never replied. wonder why . STREETCAR |

I would not call Damian my mate, not after the last phone call I had with him ,about his enforcement officers sitting on the sefton boundary, flagging down sefton cab's as they were returning into our boundary with their lights off, 25 to 30 yards on the Liverpool side, he was told that two can play at that game, and that the Liverpool drivers would be told why they were being stopped. p/s I don't t**** *** *** * p*** word has it that the t&g don't wont a fare rise, but the owner drivers do and so do the fleets, if you drivers do not wont a fare rise then put a petition in if they apply for one, you must learn your rights,..mrT..
