So bought battery online with 2 year guarantee, five months and its died a death ! Had to send it back at my cost(more than what p and p was !!)Now they admit that its fecked but as a refund will only give me 60% of what i paid.Or a new battery.Obviously ive had to buy new allready, couldnt be of road while waiting for testing ect.Basically do you have any comeback on this, its becoming more a point of principle... |

I think you are entitled to a full refund PLUS the postage. They will tell you that you aren't but you are. |

Did you buy it by credit card, if so you can claim off them. If cash then you can still claim for any loses, but might be worth contacting your local Trading Standards and see what they say. Might also be worth naming and shaming them on here. |

Wish I had read that before I typed previous post. You are 100% covered by the credit card. Contact your CC company and they will send you a claims form, if it's not online. They will credit you and just take the money back off the scammers. A lesson to us all, buy as much as you can via credit cards, but FFS pay it off at the earliest time. |

Isn't that only if the cost of the goods is more than £100? |

Ill hesitate in naming them yet ! As ive not finished. Thanks for the info, ill try the cc company route first sussex and it was slightly less than 100 quid. Its become a point of principle.Too cut a long story short bought over phone for 95 quid with 2 year warranty.Battery fails on me after 5 months, ring up to explain and told thell have to have it back to be tested.Told him have had to replace it because cant be off the road for a week or more.I had to pay their courier 27 quid to send back ! So rang me yesterday "weve found the battery to be defective so will send you a new one" sorry would prefer a refund.Final offer were willing to give you 60 quid as youve had it five months, your loss with postage. If it wasnt such a long drive i might be tempted to hand deliver it back !!!! Thanks for info |

Thanks for info I take it the price of £95 was without the postage. In which case the full price was over £100.
