started slowish but boy oh boy it went crazy round here gave up at 5 am still buzzing

It seems to vary from area to area, Sat the 7th was absolute crap, and this Sat I was having a busy night but not making any real money i.e no out of towners ( I was heading for a record of having the worst Sat for donkeys years)....until out of the blue (even if I do say so myself) a stroke of pure ingenuity, ( some might say desperation), I pulled myself out of the poop finishing with a 60 pounder. Other than that it was busy, but only local wise...............NO real money out there in our neck of the woods.

Not too bad on the Romney Marsh, a couple of local trip, but some good out-of-town (sounds like Max Bygraves) trips; Deal, Ashford x 3..a couple turned down after the footie at 0130, I really can't be arsed to stay up until that time for a couple of £6 fares. Not that short of money!

Cracker of a night all night up until 11PM when it died, it seemed funny sat on the rank while all the pubs were rammed. It kicked in again at half time. After the match it was crazy right up until 4am.

We could do with one of them a week.

People don't have the money the money they used to.....and those that do, probably Won't use it on a taxi unless they need to....me included

I dont work nights, but im surprised at what some people DO spend on taxi's, both by the age groups and "socio-economic" range (i.e. chavs)......

Unfortunately the punters that are out after 12/1 am are rarely my sort.Plus England playing and people drinking all day......definately early bath for me

Didn't work sat week before last, however this sat just gone was one of the busiest i've ever done.

Non stop for 12 hour shift. Had about a ten minute break at 9pm to dive into asda and get a bit of food and some water!

Combination of footy, rugby, good weather, and weddings, sports presentations, etc made it a very lucrative night.

Could have stayed on longer and doubtless earned more but had enough of the idiots by 4am!

I kid you not! Building up to the weekend I was banking on "Ramadan" falling on Friday or most definitely Saturday + it is the end of the month i.e pay cheque time.......Anyway they could not find the moon, so that f#ck#d that up with Saturday turning out my worst start for years,eventually marginally takinig less than Friday night for the second week in a row.

What really did strike a cord was that whilst I was waiting ages in between fares....a street beggar was coining it right left and center,5/6 people one after another chucked money into the polystyrene beaker.......no justice in this world whatsoever
