We should have started this thread a few years back when she got involved with Pink Ladies - I think JD had the hots for her

Kerry Katona looked on in tears as George Kay was restrained by cops outside their family home

Kerry watched on from her doorway in a bath robe and towel as her fiancé lost it and was detained under the Mental Health Act

Distraught Kerry Katona watched as her hubby-to-be George Kay was detained by police under the Mental Health Act outside their home .

A squad of Thames Valley Police overpowered burly George Kay after he was found running down the road outside the couple's house and pinned him down while they waited for an ambulance which took him to hospital, where he was later discharged.

Police were called by a woman motorist who saw the 34-year-old former rugby league player "running in and out of cars" and behaving very agitatedly.

Neighbours told The Sun that sobbing Kerry watched on from her doorway in a bath robe and towel as her fiancé lost it.

A source said: "She was crying, in bits, none of the kids were around."

The happy couple have already welcomed their first child together

A neighbour, who asked not to be named, told the Mirror: "[George] was behaving very strangely - actually it was quite frightening.

"A woman who was driving down the road was so upset by what he was doing that she stopped and dialled 999 for the police.

"It all happened at about 6pm on Wednesday evening and the police were here very quickly." said the woman neighbour.

"Then an ambulance arrived and the policemen climbed into the back and off they went. It was quite an unusual spectacle."

Kay, who is due to marry Kerry Katona later this year and is her former bodyguard, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where police formally arrested him and had him sectioned by doctors under the Mental Health Act.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police confirmed the incident.

He said: "Thames Valley Police can confirm that officers were called to a road in Chinnor shortly after 6pm following concerns for the welfare of a man.

"A 34-year-old man was detained at the scene and taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he was detained under the Mental Health Act. He was later discharged."

Kay, who proposed to the former Atomic Kitten singer at Blackpool Tower, was examined by doctors at the Oxford hospital and later in the evening was allowed to go home.

He will be Kerry Katona's third husband. She was previously married to former Westlife singer Brian McFadden and later to taxi driver Mark Croft.

Kerry and Kay share the mansion-like home they rent having moved in earlier this year.

The police spokesman said that officers had had to restrain him.

"There are no plans for any further police action in this matter. We were called to the incident as a concern for welfare of a man."

Mirror Celeb has contacted a rep for Kerry Katona.

He wasn't detained because of the incident, but because police realised he had asked Kerry Katona to marry him.

She's been cocked more times than Elma Fuud's shotgun.
