They've never been any good for the last 15 years, they shagged it up in 1999 millennium eve when they were charging people £25 to go into a pub. People said fuck you and voted with their feet and wallets ever since.

Maybe it is the same in your manor as in most places and the rate for a 7 seater is the same as usual.

on a hack meter yes, only rate 2 is after midnight or after 6pm xmas eve/new years eve (all day on bank holidays)

which is crazy, if no-one ran +4 seaters the punters would need 2 cars, both at rate 2 when applicable

Started with a 6.30 am £70 job to the airport , then went back to bed for a few hours, then a quick shower, Then a £40 job to Peebles, back to Gala a few locals, then a run to Peebles off the rank :D , back to gala ran around with locals for a while, had dinner, then back out running locals, it was the quietest new years eve I have seen in a long time, only about 25 folk turned up hoping that the town clock would chime at midnight but it didn't, 4.5 miles down the road in Melrose the fireworks went off with bands playing in the square, with about a thousand folk, so headed over and had a field day right through to 6 AM.
Gala was quite busy today and plenty of phone work, pubs open till 1 am, just in now much better than last year, well it would be I was in hospital wondering if my spleen was to be removed.
1 more day at time and a half to come, and more nice tips, how much driver £5.50 £10 keep the change :D :D :D then Saturday back to normal fares, but what we call that the final fling, before they sober up on Sunday ready for work on Monday, the only down side to house calls is they are never ready
