I thought at my age i had been lucky and avoided any surgery .........yeh well i decided to have a stroll across Hampstead Heath.parked the motor strolled to a parking ticket machine and wallop StRAIGHT over on a broken ice covered paving stone accompanied by the charming sound of bones snapping #-o a quick glance at my leg revealed my foot  at right angles to my leg.

I managed to to attract the attention of a passing car and the couple in it immediately phoned for an ambulance which took 50 minutes to arrive #-o in the meantime a first aider from the Heath arrived shortly followed by a passing GP out for a stroll with her children. The temperature was around freezing and the GP advised against any movement whatsoever.

The ambulance drivers explained upon their arrival that they were considerably understaffed and the call out levels were extremely high/

Anyway to cut a long story short i endured a 90 minute operation had a cardiac AF incident and was in hospital for 8 days.

The point of this post is that given my first hand experience observing first hand the grossly overworked staff at all levels its bloody obvious if the public dont get their act together their NHS will be destroyed by the current Government #-o

Lets make it clear i encountered staff from all over the globe working determinedly for our NHS they were almost all brilliant and caring ...........i thank God they were there .......................so now its 3 months on crutches heart investigations ...................confronting muscle wastage #-o BUT I'M STILL BREATHING :D

Which is what the coalition have been doing.

The success you had was down to them putting in place proper finance.

If Labour had won you would be dead.

Which is poured into the coffers of private health companies, rather than spent on patient care.
Companies in which many a Westminster politician has financial interests.
It used to be called corruption. What's it called nowadays?

John Major had a bad idea when he came up with the NHS "private finance initiative" (PFI) but it was Labour who let it snowball, hospitals have been built and and cost 10 times what they should have by government funding

As they say......you are not missed until you are gone!

In fairness and I have to say it.......you can be a right tw@t, but! Get well soon I miss the slagging off

It is pretty bloody obvious to me that if you let 3/4/5 million extra into the country........then the Emergency Services are bound to creak - Pull up the drawbridge until it is sorted. When you overload the occupancy of a house......it becomes a health hazzard - that is where we are.
