So what happens next when, lets say the council deregulates, the monies they receive should just cover the Licence department overheads, in theory, if they dereg surely they will have more money coming in than soft mick and coming out there ears, where will this extra money go, into the council coffers????? |

Councils are only meant to cover their costs, in relation to taxi/PH license fees. So they shouldn't have money coming out of their ears. But I suspect any new taxi will be run by a chap who now runs a PH, so really there shouldn't be that much difference in income.
