I had to ring Swintons breakdown today

Took the guy 90 minutes to drive 20 miles

He turns up with no tools, no diagnostic and in a transit recovery wagon

luckily the car had already started

I'm afraid you get what you pay for where breakdown cover is concerned.

I was given an ETA by Swintons, that was 45 minutes from my call, he turned up 45 minutes late (100% delay)

If he was busy then I shouldnt have been advised of the original ETA

Swintons must be using 3rd rate garages probably due to paying peanuts, etc

Maybe after advising you, a more urgent situation arose such as a lone female broken down. These usually take preference.

The AA and RAC have always been spot on with ETA's and usually arrive before the stated time, this bunch arent worth paying in washers, just a safety net and being cancelled as we speak

ill have full recovery once Skoda stitch me up
