I think the bollards are absolutely flecking stupid, that black 4x4 had a baby in the back by the looks of the panic by the mother, it is pretty obvious that there is insufficient warning sign-age, and I hope the motorists involved sue the councils, before someone is killed

Tosh.

Its obvious by the manner of these idiots driving they were trying to get past the restriction by following up the buses arze.

The two large lit up no entry signs at the beginning of the clip kinda give car drivers a hint?

Lets hope their sumps were smashed.

I noticed, surprise, surprise, both were dozy female drivers.

GBC what can you see in front of you or to the side for that matter when stuck behind a number 10 bus, not a lot and if the sign-age is only about 3 meters away from the bollards the bus blocks your view

Its filmed in Cambridge, some 17 miles from my house, the signs are clear, the film even shows the first silly cow reversing and waiting for the Bus to go through.

Its people being lazy as driving or parking is not allowed in the city centre, Buses, Taxi's and (!) PH only. (and disabled)

What standard of proof do you need?

OK I will admit the silly cow in the first one but the 4x4 did not notice

The very first clip is st Marys Gate Manchester the New Marks and Spencer building is on the left and the Royal Exchange building is on the right. Straight ahead is Market street.

The second clip which shows the two cars colliding with the Bollards is different again from the last clip. The buses might give away the location of the second and third clip but the extra bollard in the last clip is not in evidence in the second and third clips.

Regards

JD

Defo don't give a lot of time between the bus going over and the poles coming up.

But I bet those people never try it on again.

Has anyone had any problems with these at taxi ranks?

The main rank in St Andrews had a card-operated bollard system installed last year.

There's a sign which tells drivers not to tailgate through, but of course one or two drivers have done just that and it's caused a lot of damage to at least one car.

I've never used it because I don't trust it, and I don't want my brand new car damaged. Thankfully it doesn't work a lot of the time though, and at least one taxi has demolished the switch mechanism ](*,)

I remember once I tried to jump a ticket barrier, well not jump just got through before the barrier came down.

It wasn't till I got through that I realised without a ticket I couldn't get out. #-o
