I have been looking through the Private Hire Monthly and there are alot of adverts from 'Fowlers Motors' saying that can buy various cars from £55.58 per week. Has anyone ever used this company to purchase a new car and are there any catches to this offer? I would be looking to buy a new car this way for use as a jockey car, is this a good idea? I dont really want to purchase a car from the auctions as i cannot afford it when starting up a new office as my budget is tight. Also i want to portray a professional image as there is alot of competition in my area. And dont worry i would vet the drivers to make sure they dont ruin the car!! |

I think several of them have deals like that including the Taxi Centre and Cab Direct. I think you might have to add VAT, and the cost might include a lump sum at the end, but the deals are pretty honest as far as I can work out. Give them a ring and ask for the catch.

Been in this job a few years and have still not worked out a system were you can tell if a driver is going to damage your car or not. In fact its normally the ones you would not expect that do through bad driving. |

I suppose if the motor has saterlite location, then you can check their average speeds.

Take the phm to the dealer that you would like to buy from and ask him to beet the price or deal or at least match it you mighy be lucky as 1 of the owners in our area took the paper to a VW dealer and got the same deal as the taxi center was offering but as an added bonus got a 5 year unlimited milage warenty free not bad ehh |

give these a ring as they deal with all the major suppliers and get discounts which they pass onto you. southern fleet services 01425 656671 or 07803 494953 and they also do warranties and breakdown cover. they supply nation wide and do full spec from tx11 to private hire new & used. but they won't touch e7 as they say their reputation is on the line. and they rely on word of mouth and recommendation. [/b] Then why did the E7 outsell the TX2 last year? I would have thought anyone relying on a reputation need only look as far as London, and Mann and Overton, when it comes to an LTI product. Can you believe people go in there and spend £32,000 against their will and wishes? Its like the U.S.S.R in the sixties and seventies. |

ask Mike Holland of Jubilee, or Steve Ponting at Bernard Mansell's why they won't take anymore E7's in part ex, the reason is they can't get rid of them. people are coming and trying to get rid of 4 month old vehicles prepared to take big losses. up here there's E7's with please open carefully on the doors as the handles keep coming off [breaking] common fault but never put right as Cab Direct not intrested once sold. to be fair never driven tx2, but would imagine from a point of view that all vehicles have good and bad points. whether design or just bad build. but the feedback here is don't buy E7 as the aftercare isn't up to much. as the vehicle build isn't any better. a far better buy for less money is a cab put together by John Winnard of cts and Scotcab. far cheaper better quality. better aftercare and a far better experience. |
