We had a short break 2 years ago in Evesham, went for stroll round the town about 5pm, only heard Polish.....

Having said that, our lad lived with a Polish bird for 12 months, she was well fit, the dirty little sod... (him, not her, maybe)

I have no issues with the Polish, the new influx seem to come to work, most behave, the 1st influx were WW2 evacuee's and servicemen, the most sucsessful fighter squadron of WW2 was a Polish RAF squadron.

Quote:
As the Battle of Britain wore on, and the shortage of trained pilots became critical, the exiles were accepted into RAF squadrons and two Polish fighter units, Nos. 302 and 303 Squadrons, were formed. Once committed to action, the Poles flew and fought superbly, shooting down 203 enemy aircraft for the loss of 29 pilots killed. No. 303 Squadron became the most successful Fighter Command unit in the Battle, shooting down 126 German machines in only 42 days. Czech Sergeant Josef Frantisek, also of '303', was the top scoring pilot with 17 confirmed victories.

Plus when i was van/truck driving delivering quality bathroom fittings (made in Saudi....?) a Polish builders team would help unload, an English team would moonwalk away.....
