Dear operator
Staffordshire County Council sees a big increase in the number of compliance issues towards the start of the school summer holidays due to the number of private bookings operators take on.
It is important to note that although SCC are aware private bookings increase for transport companies towards to summer and Christmas period your company still has an obligation to ensure transport runs as per the terms and conditions of contract.
The main areas of non-compliance have been:
-Sub-contracting without authorisation
-Late operation / non operation
Please be aware that Staffordshire County Council will take compliance action against operators where non-compliance is substantiated and this can lead to termination of contract, charge of costs and suspension/removal from the approved operators list.
