Out of interest. Do HM prison contracts pay the same rate throughout the UK?. We get 85p a mile and £12 per hour waiting. |

Six years ago we used to do Morton Hall Immigration Centre contract, same contract as the prison service. They used to pay well above the going rate plus £14 an hour waiting time. I remember one job where I had to pick two officers up from a hotel in Nottingham then go over to Morton Hall where we picked up the migrant. We drove all the way down to a place near Heathrow where I dropped them all off. Six years ago that made me over £250 plus waiting time of 1½ hours @£21. Your company is taking your pants down. |

At a hospital in our town I saw an old mate in his Hack, hes plated in the next town, i joked he can go poaching elsewhere, he had picked up 2 occifers and an inmate from a YOI in our LA (much nearer our base than his) and was getting £30 each way plus waiting time, it was all of 4 miles loaded in and 4 back |
