For the last 2 years we have been helping a family whose son Oscar, was diagnosed with leukemia when he was around 2 years old. He has now just started school having been in remission for around 6 months following a bone marrow transplant. It has been a long, hard, emotional journey for all involved. Many of the other children who were in hospital did not make it. Families in this position often have other children as well and life can be very difficult because parents often have to give up work to be with their children and because of the treatment days out and holidays are very difficult and expensive. One of the charities that help out with this is the Team Rossi foundation. My youngest son, Mark, has decided to raise funds for this charity and he has entered himself for the Outlaw half triathlon taking place next year. He has never done anything like this before so it will be one hell of a challenge for him. He is trying to raise £1,500 for the charity and I have posted a link to his charity page for any of you who would like to donate towards this worthy cause. Thank you.
