How could (say) TDO join as one and offer an insurer the chance to take 10,000 renewals for a decent discount/lower rate?

Total members 3699 ..... read on the bottom of main page, including fleets (whatever) 4000? 4500? good enough to ask for a discount but!!! are you sure all of them (us) want it? everyone pretty much has his own deal, there are some loosers but if my own deal is better than yours group discount... try to change my mind, if you're lucky.... in other words it's called utopia... #-o

Some firm offered to put a taxi insurance app on TDO, along the lines of Go Compare and the like, with a certain % going to the site.

I think they were told to come back next year when the site get upgraded.

A Comparison App is not a negotiated group discount though that would be much harder unless we had firm commitments from 100 or more members to switch to whoever offered the discount

It would be for the COMPANY to approach TDO i think and stand or fall on being the cheapest if the want 4000 vehicles to cover

£50 off each wouldnt hurt em

The best avenue is, approach a broker. I'm sure he'll lower his fees if he can get 3000 people on his books.

Been there done that..What you will need is a full list of Drivers..their names and addresses...1000 will do to start with..
you could have a policy that covers everyone to drive eachothers cars...

Sell the insurance company / broker the TDO email database then tell them that they've got to give a decent slab of ££ in the way of a discount.

We could start TDO insurance at £500 a vehicle, = 150000 per year,
even have a sliding scale for those under 25, starting at £2000 reducing by £500 per year until their 25 birthday renewal, providing NC
Cameras also to be fitted
Some of these insurance company's are coining it in
