picked up a old wife to take to the hospital the other morning ( set fare job , £13.00) so gets in the car, she told me where she was off to , i hit the meter then the panic set in
, "its only £13.00, i was told it was only £13.00 why have you got your meter on its only £13.00 , so i explained that i need to hit the meter so the office know i have picked up & it will go off at £13.00, so i knocked it off at the set rate, then we continued to the hospital ( i hate set fares & try to avoid them ), so we pull up at the hospital, then she goes off on another rant saying she wasn't going to pay the set rate as it didn't clock it, i said what are you on about ? she said the meter reads £11.40 why should i pay 13 quid,how dare you try & overcharge me , im going to call the council, just sat there & let her rant a bit then explained that it was the clock she was looking at , it was 11.40 am(digitax f2) silly old fool
