I tell them up here that it costs 10p a day to be part of an Association, I'm met with, "it's to much."

Try a different approach. Tell them it will cost them 10p a day to be in the association but it is costing them £1.00 a day not to be in.

In many cases they work, in others they don't.

I think they succeed if they have non cabby management. Doesnt mean the owner drivers can't set the rules, just they keep to driving cabs and let the professionals run the firms in a proper business manner.

It's basically the same thing, when you tell them it equates to 65p a day for instance you get, "it's to expensive."

you can lead a horse to water, etc............
