Post subject:  A non taxi question?
What is the position in the scenario of an unmarked car, with blue lights strobing for one to stop i.e as in a police car.

The question? We hear about all sorts of bad things happening and was wondering if the above happened - would anybody be within their rights not to stop as the car is not recognisable as a police vehicle?

Not a 100% sure but I thought that unmarked police cars had a sign light up in the back window stating "POLICE STOP".

they use an unmarked car around here every so often to target the boy racers I believe it is classed the same and if you don't stop you can be charged for not stopping. They also use them on the A1M near Peterborough always nice to see a BMW that went speeding by you doing 90 to 100 at the side of the road with an unmarked police car behind it 3 miles up the road :D
