 Post subject: can't some folk say no?

I sometimes wonder if some taxi firms here actually know how to say "no". Rather than turn a job down when they have no one available they just keep on taking the bookings and then it seems that they just ring one of our drivers to do the job for them. There is one company that even diverts their phone to one of our drivers when they don't have any drivers out. They are not even charging our drivers any commission for the work they do.
Strange people.

i say "no " all the time mate
"will you take a dog?- "no"
"will you take a wheelchair?"- "no"
"i have a cat in a crate.........."- "no"
"its a £12 fare will you do it for £8.50 ? "no" etc etc ... :badgrin:

I remember once about 10 years ago discovering that 4 different taxi companies (3 were 1 man bands really) had all diverted their phones to us 1 monday night but none of them asked us first they just did it :roll:
