Not as much pre booked this year so was expecting not to do too well but I reckon i did a bit more than last year after fuel deducted despite not having the wheelchair work. work definitely spread out across day more phones busier than last year and the jobs were mostly descent jobs which at DOUBLE fare added up nicely

so I am rating xmas this year \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

I think tomorrow might not be a winner though but we'll see

How did everyone else get on no doubt skippy broke his own record

yes "benefit cabs" here had their drivers working on single tariff  I suppose they were frightened of earning too much in case they lost their nice big fat benefit cheques

Riding in the back of taxis, running on rate one which is about 40 pence a mile, Friday brunch at the Meydan racecourse, champagne, great food, great company. Xmas night memory a bit hazy. Oh, and sunshine all day, 25 degrees, and no washing up. About to start all over again today.

the new tax credit changes should see an end to subsidised fares

Got unusually p1ssed on Christmas day so I'll not work until Mon which is how long it will take me to recover to driving fitness.
Christmas eve was best in many years, I think generally were busier again.
Likewise all the building construction is in full swing new restaurants opening up and big takeaway chains expanding.

Boxing day was a bit slow here but we were the only cab firm running T3 all the rest went down to T1 and had almost their entire fleets out sitting on the rank twiddling their thumbs. My cars seemed to pull off to go on jobs more often though
