Fat smelly people.

Once again people taking forever to get their money out at the end of the job.

I get a call a few minutes ago.
"can you give me a price for a journey next Saturday?"
"Where from?"
"east side of town."
"What is the address?"
"You don't need the address, I only want a price."
"Without the address I can't give you an accurate price."
"I'm not giving you the address."
"Ok, then I can't give you a price."
"That is ridiclous."
"Why wont you give me the address?"
"because I don't want you turning up if I don't book you."
"Why would we turn up if you haven't booked?"
"I don't know but you might."
"Have a nice day, good bye."

I think the phone call would have been terminated when the address wasn't first given.

Or I would have quoted him £100 a mile.

AMAZON ordered a torch from them of a specific type (able to show white red and green) which I needed for a specific purpose. It was a week delivery time i.e. was coming from overseas. Wrong type of torch arrived but can you complain to Amazon ... No I'll have to contact the seller in china  apparently it could cost be double to return it and get the right one so I'll just go elsewhere but from now on

Amazon can F Off won't be buying from them again !

We used to live fairly out in the sticks, a new wedding venue opened up a bit further away, literally middle of nowhere but with a "Best Western" hotel a 5 minute drive (from the wedding venue)

If I had a fiver for every time i tried to explain that they WOULDNT get a cab back to the hotel at 23.50 ..........

Funny how they can get TO the wedding but not back

"But we have booked rooms"
so unbook them and stay in Tamworth, get a cab both ways
You wont get a cab
its no-mans-land
have a designated driver
Dont phone me again

Getting dark before 5.00 pm.

Not many things in this world I hate, but winter is one of them.

First runner in two years

Have to admit, they were good - one pretended to be getting fare while the other three got out in no hurry. Then they all starburst in four directions leaving the doors wide open.

Oh well.

Paying £2.35 for a takeaway cup of tea in the poncy cafe in the local hospital.

It's only water, a paper cup, and a tea bag FFS.

They wanted over three quid for a sausage roll.

I have noticed many food items such as chocolate, sausage rolls cups of tea and coffee all seem to have gone up by about 10 percent since the budget.

Inflation is going to shoot up sharply followed by interest rates and maybe a recession
