Nothing to gripe about, at all.

Retirement is suiting me.

Handed my badge in this week. Still a year to run on it, but will accept the refund.
Council wanted a DBS and a medical. Both well expired. When you get to my great age, it’s an annual medical. Last one four years ago… DBS last one five years ago…

Lincoln’s licensing department couldn’t organise a picnic for the woodpeckers in the new forest.

Still PHv’s running around here without plates, due to covid…

Operators crying when it's busy and the work isn't cleared in seconds.

It seems they are only happy when we are sitting around scratching our bums.

yes because they aren't dealing with frustrated customers who expect taxis/PH to be instantly available just like a burger or kebab

Loads of good work coming suddenly available when an office car breaks down.

Who would have thought.

so we now have quite a breeze but it's a really hot wind the only even moderately effective cooling method is putting your feet in cold water

People telling fibs to licensing councillors.

Licensing councillors so gullible they believe anything proven liars tell them.

looking at the footage on the BBC website and realising one of those houses in Wennington that burnt down was the daughter of one of our regular customers I've actually picked up from there

I hope no one was hurt

Other halves that get the hump when you use their £250 hairdryers to remove the signage on your old car.

:D

Dropped a family off at a huge house, (at least 5 or 6 bedrooms, a couple of acres of land) helped them into the cab with their cases, helped them out. £34.90 fare, on the card machine, “take £35 driver” “no thanks, I think you need it more” I’d rather not be given a tip than be insulted, it doesn’t even cover the card charge. (57.75p, if my sums are right at 1.65%)

If every customer "insulted" me with a 10p tip at the end of the year it would more than pay for my flights to Spain.
