I have been doing a LOT of quoting 30 to 40 minutes but it is genuine. I have never known a run up to xmas quite like it trouble is everyone seems to want to shop or go to the pub at the same time it's 50 calls an hour one hour then 5 calls an hour the next :roll:

People will go out and spend the thick end of £200. I picked someone up last night who had spent over £1000 taking his workers out on the lash. He moaned at me when I quoted him £30 to Nottingham, in the end I told him to Foxtrot Oscar.

On top of ops telling punters the wrong wait times we also have the issue of callback going down/being turned off.

Punter is told 30 minute wait, I turn up 5 minutes later. I've done the callback, customer is waiting for the callback. I don't know if callbacks been succesfull, customer doesn't get callback.
So I'm waiting outside pub/restaurant, punters been told 30 minutes so is'nt ready or keeping an eye out.

After a few minutes I give them a call and one of three things happens;
Either they don't answer or it goes to voicemail (80% of the time !)
They answer but are'nt ready, got another drink because they were told 30 minutes.
Or they answer and come out and say they didn't get the callback/text to say I'd arrived.

Always when it's busy, it's as if iCabbie can't handle dispatching and doing text/callback at the same time. But I've also been told that the office turns it off because 'it slows the system down' !!

iCabbie is resource heavy and can't cope at busy times with lots of cars logged on.

If icabbie rings "customer" but call actually rings the base, is it a setting fault (by fat finger owners) or icabbie fault?

"Silly Mummy"

had a booking in for 08.35 to take a regular customer to school with her kids. A bit odd i thought as most of the schools here are back on the 7th or 8th. Turned up mum wants it on tick again :roll: and wasn't going with them so muggins would need to take them into the school as well ! OK well she is a regular customer and we know the kids quite well

Halfway there mum calls she's only looked at the website of a similar named school somewhere else and got mixed up !! Had to turn round and take them back to Tallington lakes then got stuck for 15 minutes at the crossing on the way back that's a whole hour wasted for £000

not sure

possibly the same ones who now want a small town in the middle of nowhere to be a CAZ and impose CCTV on the trade even though only 4% of authorities do this
