I think they should all be rounded up and put on a plane with parachutes on and dropped over syria

Failing that I think the UN should set up a massive camp somewhere neutral and move all of these migrants to it not just the calais ones and then countries should pick a small percentage to allow through and send the rest of them home to enforce the message don't come

So he's lost £30K of stock and faces a fine of £40K? We need to get out of this cesspit called the EU "NOW."

They picked on the wrong one there, he should've mullered the lot of them, also where are the females? Oh silly me the males have left them at home in Syria to fight ISIS while they come here for a comfy life and take over the west..

It may seem a bit strange but with the level of fines being imposed and damage caused, why don't some of these drivers use other ports? It may cost a bit more for the ferry but it could stop many of these people from getting on lorries. I mean, if the lorry is travelling from Poland it would be nearer to get the ferry at Ostend or Zeebruger. They can always move some of the ferry services away from Calais.

Depends on ferry prices usually, but why should he take a different route

next time he might travel in the back himself, that might work better

I would have thought that it was obvious. If you want to avoid the problems at Calais, don't go there. If ALL the hauliers did this the camp would soon disperse. Yes, it would set up somewhere else so you change the route again to suit the circumstances. The lorries can change ports a lot quicker than the migrants.
Apart from anything else, if ALL the lorries stopped using Calais for a while maybe the port authority may tighten things up to try and win the lorries back.

The French authorities are not interested until they get problems from their own businesses and unions.

they (migrants) set up new camp in Dunkirk already... it's a matter of time that they'll set up more camps elsewhere, what then... :?:
