Can a private hire driver with an operators licence accept booking from outside there licence area?

E.g if i hold a south Ayrshire badge can i take booking form north Ayrshire for airport work etc.

Defo can in England, be surprised if you can't in Scotland.

Else no one would be able to do airport pick ups.

if its booked in by your base or through you via your base then there isnt an issue

Just out of curiosity, how would a hackney go about picking up a private job outside of his borough?

Can a booking be taken by someone ringing their mobile or can a booking be taken verbally?

Hackneys don't come under any PH operating requirements, so they can do what they damn well like.

Although some do take a different view.

well I usually go to the address, slow down, stop and they open a car door and step in
