It is the only job/profession in the world that I know of - where there is no one on one interview.

It is hardly surprising that you know nothing about other jobs and interviews. I doubt that you have been to many let alone been involved in interviewing people.

His personal experiences wouldnt detract from his point that there ARE no interviews to getting a badge though ...

I will not say that I know nothing about interviews as I conducted many myself over the years! However being a steady person, and not flitting from job to job, then perhaps I do not know as much as a person who has - perhaps you can enlighten me on that one?

With regards to getting a badge........NO actual interview is conducted down here. You do have a topography exam, and you do have to sit your drivers test. Unfortunately no one does a horses for courses sit down one to one, to see if you/I are suitable - do yours?

I used to sit on an interviewing panel where the panel of 3 people would interview several candidates for a job before selecting the person for the job. I was also face with such a panel before being selected to stand as a Councillor. (looks like they got that one wrong).
