The Seaforth Highlanders
Battalions of the Regular Army
1st Battalion
August 1914 : in Agra, India. Part of the Dehra Dun Brigade in Meerut Division.
21 September 1914 : moved to France, landing at Marseilles on 12 October 1914.
December 1915 : moved to Mesopotamia, landing at Basra late in the month. Formation was by now renamed 21st Brigade, 7th Indian Division.
4 February 1916 : owing to heavy casualties, formed the Highland Battalion with 2nd Bn, the Black Watch.
12 July 1916 : resumed former title.
January 1918 : moved to Palestine, arriving Suez 13 January 1918.

2nd Battalion
August 1914 : at Shorncliffe. Part of 10th Brigade in 4th Division. Moved on mobilisation to York area (including Darlington and Strensall) before moving to Harrow.
23 August 1914 : landed at Boulogne.

3rd (Reserve) Battalion
August 1914 : at Fort George. A depot/training unit, it moved on mobilisation to Cromarty where it then remained as part of the Cromarty Garrison.

Got bored........ with the same old..same old.....more mistakes by the papers Seaforth is in Sefton not Liverpool.....the flats are built on the old army camp.....and my garage is just down the road.....they have just spent millions on revamping the middle one ....and then decide

still don't get it tbh, from what i read is that some firm was blowing up some blocks & people had complains that it didn't go off in time?? fook em, the sad idiots , go home then you sad twa£s
