So having established they were unlawfully killed, the next question is - by whom ? S Yorks Police / Ambulance Service / SWFC ? In what proportion ? There would have to be a separate ruling surely..... ?? worse thing was the government cover up of it, hope the justice will help the families |

The families are not all scousers but the families have been supported by the decent ordinary football fans from around the country, not just Liverpool. The families have won a victory for their loved ones and all I and the City have done is to have kept supporting them in their quest for justice. What happens next is down to the CPS with regard to the verdict of unlawful killing. Any private prosecutions will be up to the families concerned. You have to remember that many thousands went there , came home and still live with what they witnessed that day. A lot of people tried to tell the truth and were stopped. They went to watch a football match and 96 came home in coffins. I hope that finally they can rest in peace. |

I feel the original f*** ups by the police and others is one thing, but everyone f***s up from time to time. However it's the cover ups that make this all so much worse. The jury have said that none of what happened was down to supporters, and as they have listened to two years of evidence I can't really argue with them. But like many that wasn't my initial view. |

I think when you consider the injuries of the previous year, the letter sent to the sports minister warning of a impending disaster, the fact that football fans were treat like sh*t for many years and penned in like animals - and continual denials by the authorities that it was anything other than the fault of the supporters - the mistreatment by the press - the lies - the 96 innocent people who died, the others that were injured and traumatised - the entire thing stinks. |

I also blame the Newcastle United fans from this game. https://uk.video.search.yahoo.com/searc ... ction=view This is what started the debate to put up fences. I was at this game as a 15 year old lad and I was crushed up against the wall at the top of the stand because the Forest fans were trying to get away from the Newcastle fans who were coming for a fight. The crush from this game did not make headlines because fortunately no one was killed and the back wall did not fall like the one at hysel. Forest fans were pushed out of the ground at the top only to be met by a barrage of bricks and rocks being thrown at them by Newcastle fans who were outside the ground waiting. I don't mind admitting that I feared for my life that day. |
