I picked up 3 passengers on a 2 drop job, a full circle of town, as soon as i pressed POB the base op cleared it and sent a time critical pickup from near my 2nd drop on the original job..............

2nd job passenger had booked at 09.20 for a 10am pickup for a 10.10am drop to catch a 10.19 train....i picked them up at 10.09, train was gone

so i get it in the neck, base op blamed ME, passenger refused to pay (£5) and said my firm was rubbish, he had a £100 day ticket fot something in Nottingham and would be chasing for a refund off us.....

told him it wasnt my firm

Not sure I would have taken a booking to the station that was running late due to the above.

A good firm with good operators shouldn't take a job with that short a time between pick up and train, and to be honest if the punter was that bothered he should have made the booking for an earlier time.

And as the job only went a £5 I'm guessing it wasn't far so he could have walked.

Our system doesn't allow the office to clear a data car.

Are you sure, I thought all offices had "clear driver" option?

The convensional way to clear a car is to bring up the car number and press the minus key. On a manual car this clears but on a data car I get the message"you cannot manually clear a data car." or something like that.

our lad gets sent to Birmingham Int Station (NEC/trains) to pick up ???no name/no number??? but its the biggest account customer they have..

30 minutes after arriving it seems it should have read BHX...heads over to BHX.....still no name/number

after a further 30 minutes with the meet and greet board he gives up, heads back, tells base he cant find em, send another car

later he gets told they were in Costa Coffee and HE might have lost em the contract....
