| Post subject: | Learning routes in an area |
I'm planning on becoming a deliveroo moped rider in Manchester city centre- My area will be a 1.3 mile(2.2km) radius from the city centre- Being a taxi forum I figured there would be plenty of experienced people here who could give advice- how long will it take to master all the the routes, streets and restaurants in this region?- thanks |

Cos I don't know how to drive and ownly own a moped- this is supposed to be a summer job to pay for some stuff I want to get before uni starts again. One of those things is car lessons  I'd really appreciate any opinions regarding my original enquiry. Also I'm only in Manchester for 3 months for the summer because I'd be staying at my mate's house when he's not using it then. |

Get an A to Z that covers the area you will drive. Start with the main roads, points of interest and then the side roads. Have a drive around the area and familiarise yourself. Good luck

you don't need taxi driver's knowledge to deliver a pizza... probably you've mobile with satnav using google maps so you've everything you need to do whatever you'll do and probably you know how to use an uncle google if so... what they teach them youngsters in the school nowadays? normally they seem to know everything and they know everything better than anybody else...

Good luck I also bought a ream of A4 plain paper and just kept drawing my own maps, starting off with just the main roads, doing that a couple of times a day for a couple of days. Then doing the same again for a few days but adding in the some of the bigger roads, then doing the same again and start putting in landmarks (pubs, clubs, social clubs) etc. |

For example one estate has its avenues and streets named after golf courses, another pile of streets in another area are named after Canadian towns, another in a different part has streets named after Aussie towns. Helped me anyway. |

if i get one that i don't know i just say " where is that? , im sorry but only been doing this for 3 weeks"  they guide me to the door just buy a sat nav, fook what these on here say , i have one on each phone & a garmin ffs  modern technology?, these "lost in the past " fookers annoy me to fook tbh ,never move with the times sadly
