blame the kidney stones...water infection......blood infection.......high white blood cell count two kidney stents (first the surgeon had done).....glad i could i help i had "the shakes" twice, f00k me that was scary i didnt know till later, whilst looking for a scar how the stents go in......

ta, light duties for a few weeks the surgery was fine, the ward was chaos, getting out took 6 hours, and they needed the bed! [edited by admin] now not like Ribena.... |

Well now you know how they put the stent in you will be pleased to know that removal at a later stage is by the same path but this is usually done under local anesthetic. Enjoy! |

Get well soon driver. I feel your pain with the kidney stones, a few years ago I passed one through little Nidge at 5am on a Sunday morning, 5 days in hospital with a pipe inserted into little Nidge soon sorted me out. The nurses were OK too.

VERY PAINFUL but the stents really do help its now just the wait to get the stones zapped that's the big worry I hope you haven't got a long wait |

Hope you're well on the way to recovery now. I haven't had kidney stents but I was wide awake, watching the telly when they did an endoscopy of my bladder. Fascinating stuff! Following my stoma and proctectomy surgery, I have nerve damage and have to self catheterise to empty. It doesn't bother me at all but in deference to the feelings of others, I use a cubicle to pee when I'm out and about.
