For the past year the station master at our local station has took it upon himself to try and help taxi drivers and customers by putting up a small advertising board where he would put drivers and company business cards. He did this off his own back and there was no charge for this. All great so far. However one of the drivers did something to upset the chap so his card was removed from the display. This driver has taken the hump and claims he is being discriminated against and has gone to the local press about it. He claims that the removal of his card is costing him between £30 and £50 per day in lost work. This is total rubbish of course. Now we have never had to pay for ranking up at the station, there are only 2 trains an hour and apart from rush hour there are very few customers. Sometimes there can be 6 trains without any customers. The rail company have now decided that we must be making a fortune so they are going to introduce some kind of charge. All thanks to this plonker of a driver. Cheers mate! |

Oh Boy here it comes this has been on the cards for 3 years the station staff at our local station 2 stops along the line from Grandad's station told us east midland trains was looking at this but nothing happened The thing with ours and Oakham (the station between) is that the public highway albeit with double yellow lines is just yards from the entrance so nobody would pay they would just not park on the Apron have they said how much Pete because 3 years ago i was told they were looking at around £300 a year per car |

Prior to that he was part time for a base and the rest of the time he worked in Africa shooting pirates. (his story) He was a Royal Marine for 20 years. When he was part time he would take more in tips each shift that most drivers earn. He tells drivers that he is so busy it is unreal yet this loss of work from the station has put him on the breadline. He is the biggest bullshitter I have ever met and I have met some good ones in my time. |

Obviously this guy is no different to any newcomer into the trade "know it all". The Professionalism of the TAXI trade is being constantly watered down due to the huge influx of people like this guy(know it all amateurs),it is in the TAXI trades own hands to start acting like we should and bring back the reputation for the trade that should not have been lost,we are Professionals. |

That's bull they aren't allowed to carry arms aboard merchant ships, for them to do so they need an (Arms Declaration) but, insurance companies won't insure some of them if they carry firearms. |
