Well it has been a busy week tendering for the school contracts. Every driver who wanted school contract work will be getting at least £50.00 per day and the best being £86.00 per day.
Not a bad week. I hope they are pleased.

I never fancied having my day being dictated to me as I was always about being self employed. The other thing that always stuck in my mind was.................look at the empty space on the rank caused by the contract guys/girls $\:D/$

Staffs have gone to a new system online, they dont know how it works and its down.... and when out i cant see any details now they think we are all 100 car fleets with 20 base ops and 5 IT staff...

About 3 years ago i Iost my school run (after 19 yrs )cos apparently I didn't press a button ,they had gone Itech.i must admit I really enjoy not having one now.The stress and congestion surrounding school traffic and the little [edited by admin] throwing snowballs at me is not missed.Also all the courses you have to attend to help you to be a good school taxi driver is a joke!.

So it must be me. me neither we stopped bidding for them years ago they go way too cheap round our way and funnily enough I never get moans from my drivers as they can fill their boots with cash jobs around school run time

There was a tender come out last week for a job for a driver and escort. there were 2 pick ups and the total mileage from 1st pick up to the school is 3.9 miles. I originally won this tender but due to some of the other contracts we won I had to turn it down. The job went to the next cheapest tender which was £87.00 per day. No money is school work is there.

It has been posted on here before.
