Post subject:  Ah well....
....looks like its back to graft this weekend, like i posted my gearbox fooked up, so car on the drive & when the mech came to collect it the starter motor went :lol: , so recon box, new starter & £900 lighter :shock: happy days :roll:

the bits flying off the DMF attach to the (magnetic) starter and boom its dead

never buy German me mate, my grandmother was bombed in the candle factory she worked in during the war, it was burning down & everyone just stood around singing "happy birthday" :wink:

hard to believe but another weekend off, thermostat knackered, car overheating like crazy & cant get a replacement till wed, now can i just buy a stat for this car? no its the stat & housing so that's 60 quid :roll: getting a bit pi$$ed off with this sack of crap now tbh :lol:

I am not up to much on diagnosis but years ago you could take the thermostat out - it used to run a bit on the cooler side! Have things altered?
