T 1, up from 2.20 1st mile to 2.40. And 2nd mile up from 1.20 to 1.30 and pro-rata for T2 and 3.
60-70p per job on average for the day lads, it'll knock the fuel expenses down quite a bit, better than nowt! :)
Now i've gotta pay £15 to get my meter re set again :?

It never ceases to amaze me how many people don't get their meters changed because they don't want to fork out for a tariff change. [-(

I know of at least three PH boys who are running on a three year old rate.

Well I know it doesn't sound a lot when expressed as a few pence per job, but try looking at it another way:

1) Inflation over the last 12 months has been about 2.5%

2) Your tariff has gone up by more than three times this rate (about 8.5%) :D

3) This should give you an average increase in gross takings on T1 of about 6p per mile - from about 73p per mile to about 79p per mile. (By this I mean your average weekly gross x 100 divided by your average weekly mileage)

4) So although your particular tariff is still a bit low when compared to some of the national figures, this fare increase of yours represents a fairly large step in the right direction of somewhere in the region of £50 per week over 900 miles. :)

The £15 that you mention it will cost you to have your meter reset, should therefore use up less than a third of the profit from your first weeks fare increase by the way.

Yea, and then we go and pick them up and end up in a row because they think they're being over charged!!

The streets must be paved with gold down there for you to have those sort of fares.

Looks like you'll have to pull the stops out at the next round to beat those North Devon boys though. :D

Which reminds me: Isn't that Mike Clothiers neck of the woods? He's very quiet of late - I used to enjoy reading the Brushford Column in PHM. :?:

Yes, I haven't read one of his since the time he was going on about getting a 500 mile package delivery at £2 a mile or something like that, and seemed to thing that everyone should be doing the same.

Meanwhile, back in the real world....
