We know who the winner almost certainly is  (assuming no skulduggery) although how can fooking Murray & personality ever be said in the same sentence  Why is the word "Personality " even in there?, certainly if Murray wins it they should have it removed from the award ? |

If it was just sportsman of the year I think there could only be one winner. Alistair Brownlee. He gave up his chance of winning a race to help a fellow athlete. The fact that it was his brother shouldn't come into it. |

Also I will add that in the world of elete atheletes everyone knows everyone. They compete against each other every week. In sports such as cycling and long distance running it is important for the atheletes to work together for most of the race so that they all conserve a bit of energy. Have you never noticed how they rotate the lead? |

In a year in which team GB got their biggest ever medal haul there are plenty of other contenders just not with as much publicity as the dour scotsman gets yes he's worked very hard to get where he is but so did all those other athletes and paralympians !! |

Has to be Andy Murray, he ticks all the boxes, model professional and a hugely inspirational character to everyone, his never give up attitude is phenomenal, VOTE MURRAY
