We work on Christmas day. We only get jobs that are phoned in, there is no street work. We do get quite busy and yes we do charge double fare as per our tariff sheet. Some here just do ordinary fare or fare and a quarter. Muppets!

I've copped duty car for the 3 nights, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I could do without it because of the family but, although plenty will do it, I have to get out there myself because it will be a good earner. The family will see me, albeit for a limited time. Maybe that'll suit them! :?

not missed an xmas day for 20 years and most boxing days as well we charge double time as per our tariff sheet rank work is poor but there is some however usually about 20 cars queueing on the rank  but we normally get well booked up on some sections of the day normally enough to keep 3 cars busy but I suspect there will be 4 in this year.

currently got 5 jobs in for xmas day and 4 for boxing day but most come in during the last week and a few on the day. But you can normally do quite a descent amount especially as the tips are very good xmas day as well

but you need the bookings in unless all the pubs open on the night which is quite rare

From 6 pm christmas eve right through to 7 am on the 27th fair and a half, christmas eve will be quiet as per usual, christmas day will be quiet until around 5 pm , then all hell breaks loose,, boxing day will be mad as hell.
then a full week of being super busy,
from 6 pm on old years night, right through to 6 am on the 3 rd fare and a half, but work total madness, then a massive slump until the end of jan
