Well that was a cracking year for us. Our answered phone calls were up by 68.6% on 2015 and our completed jobs were up 95% on 2015.

Lucky for you Grandad, we've got a base op who can't answer a phone for toffee, he's been on the busiest nights including black eye Friday 1 and 2 and the Thursday nights when it's been busy. I hate to think of the amount of calls he's missed. He'd sooner sit there watching videos of Trains. When he works on a Sunday there's no end of complaints from customers about him not picking the phone up.

definitely a poor year for us and xmas and new year both well down on last year BUT I don't think the other companies are doing much better although the numbers of drivers working is increasing at one point last night the queue at the rank was over 60 cars long ! and am getting a phone call every other day from drivers wanting to switch to us.

Oh yeah he's always on his Tablet, he's one of the worse operators I've ever witnessed in the Taxi industry. If he was at a real firm he would be roasted within 10 minutes of him walking in the office. He was given the job out of sympathy because he'd lost his badge. Someone lost 15 hours so they could accommodate him then the person who lost 15 hours was pissed off so decided to walk, the useless base op has ended up with her hours. She was a cracking base op too.

I was 10% down on last year, but then I spent about 15% of the year in India, so I suppose actually I'm up on the deal. :-s

Do the firm not use an auto booking facility?

last base...2 ops...

1 having a fag outside or texting, the other in deep conversation with a customer for 20 minutes....just a pity it was about holidays

current base

ops swear at customers, quote double time, quote meter + anything they fancy, cant tell the truth about where the car is
