In an attempt to cover account work over the Christmas period, Dial A Cab ran a prize draw for its drivers. First prize was a brand new TXII Gold worth almost £35,000.

The competition ran from November 1 until midnight on New Year's Eve.

For each account job a driver done between 06.00 & 10.00, 12.00 & 14.00 and 21.00 & 24.00 Monday to Friday or ANY account job between midnight Friday and midnight Sunday, they received a point. When a driver had accumulated ten points, he could enter into the prize draw. So for every 100 account jobs, a driver could enter the draw 10 times.

I don't know whether DAC have announced the winner yet, but it's sure to be in the trade papers as the best ever competition prize in taxi history.

What a wonderful new year prize - a brand new, top of the range cab with no repayments.

What all that account work for the booby prize.
terms and conditions
1 you will be at our beck and call 24/7
2 you can only have time off if you have completed another 100 account jobs
3 failure to complete 100 jobs a week will mean you have to start again
4 you will pay for the maintenance and the fuel tanker that you will need to fuel it ( you would be better putting your plates on the tanker)
5 holidays are what you can only look at not go on
6 the competition was a wind up
